Our estate is one of the most ancient in South Tyrol. It boasts an eventful history, which began in Cornaiano in the 14th century. It is mentioned that around 1800, the family started a commercial activity, along with production. During the First World War, when South Tyrol was annexed to Italy, wine sales suddenly dropped. Some traders, among whom was Josef Brigl, father of the present owner Ignaz Brigl, decided to give the business a new direction by starting to export their products. Good business relations started, but were soon interrupted by the outbreak of the Second World War. At the end of the war, wine sellers resumed trading with foreign countries. At the beginning of the Sixties, a period of political and economic development finally began.
